This book has been written to help people understand and experience true joy, the joy of the Lord which the Bible describes in detail. Joy, like every benefit the Lord offers, even though it is available, many people do not access it because they lack understanding about it or do not know how to appropriate it for themselves. Appropriating the full benefits of biblical joy takes faith to receive and operate in it. Perhaps the expressions of joy in a church meeting, like running, shouting, dancing, and laughing, may unnerve some people because not everyone is comfortable with those outbursts of joy or perhaps those types of expressions are not welcome in many places. Perhaps some people have even made fun or mocked someone who has displayed a radical expression of joy. Religion wants to subdue people’s passion, but joy wants to release that passion directing it in praising the Lord.
